According to definition, glucosamine is an amino sugar compound which is produced by the body. The main areas in the body where you can find it are kidney and liver. Glucosamine are obtained from the glucose molecules. They play an important role in repairing damaged cartilage and tissues of the body. Glucosamines are also responsible for building new cartilage, providing cushion effects to joints in the body, provide relief from pain. It is found that glucosamine exist naturally in the body. It is a combination of glucose, hydrogen and nitrogen amines. It is because of the constituents that make it, it is labeled as glucosamine. They are not responsible for providing energy to the body. Amino sugars and body sugars are different form one another because the yare developed from carbohydrates. It is found that glucosamine has proved to be useful in relieving pain and inflammation in the body. But excessive intake of glucosamine can be dangerous for patients suffering from diabetes because it is derived from glucose. As the human body grows older the capacity of the body to produce glucoamine reduces and so the wear and tear of the body increases as we grow older and we feel pain in joints. Actually there are no primary sources of food that provides glucosamine and it is prepared from shell of the shellfish. |
