Stress is a slow poison which can lead to many health problems in the long run. Yes, there are vitamins that help you to fight stress. Taking the required and adequate amount of vitamins and nutrients ensures a better defense to stress.

B complex vitamins play a vital role in stress relief and smooth functioning of the body. If there is vitamin B complex deficiency then the patient may have symptoms like irritability, depression, frustration etc. However, B vitamins have 8 members forming the B complex group. There must be balance in this. It is important to have diet and health supplements which are rich in all the 8 members.

Vitamins C and E are antioxidants. They help in strengthening the immune system. Due to stress free radicals are produced in the body. And this leads to damage of healthy cells. But these antioxidant vitamins fight with free radicals and nullify their effect. Thus one can effectively get relief from mental as well as physical stress.

Depending on vitamins is a common way of combating stress. It is therefore necessary to include foods that are rich in vitamins B, C and E. Some such foods are oranges, strawberries, milk, eggs, poultry, sprouts etc.
