If I Diet Do I Need Extra Vitamins?

It is a fact that almost all of us diet in our lives at some point or the other. While dieting we stop consuming certain foods and assume that we don’t need to eat specific foods. Although, our body can manage without taking in any new carbohydrates, do we need to consume vitamins when we diet?

Vitamins are critical for proper health and help us regulate many functions in our body like cell creation and our metabolism. Although each person needs different quantities of vitamins, we all require them for proper functioning of the body.  Food is the main source of vitamins and when we diet, we almost cut the vitamin intake by half. Our body needs all the vitamins and unfortunately does not store them like it stores fat.

These tablets don’t contain any carbohydrates or fats that we are trying to avoid when we are dieting, thus making it easier to stay healthy and stay on our diets..  By taking these supplements, we can get all of the vitamin needs of our body and at the same time cut down on the carbohydrates and fats, so that we can be healthily and lose weight.

When we diet, we must be very careful that we take the right multi vitamin supplement that our body needs. This is because there are many supplements available in the market with various proportions of vitamins. By consulting a physician, you can learn which supplements are best for our bodies and thus avoid health problems down the road.
