What Is Vitamin E?

Vitamin E includes a combination of eight antioxidants (four tocopherols and four tocotrienols). Among these, alpha tocopherol is the sole vitamin E form that is active in human body. As a result, this form is found in high quantity in human blood and tissues.

Vitamin E is fat soluble which protects the essential fatty acids and vitamin A from oxidation and prevents the breakdown of the body tissues. Vitamin E is known for its skin improvement capabilities and it also supports the immune system and combats various diseases including some specific types of cancer. Various cosmetic, skin care products, soaps and creams also contains Vitamin E.

The most beneficial form of it is the natural Vitamin E i.e. d-alpha- tocopheryl succinate that is found in many types of foods and can also be consumed through various supplements.
